Urandangi South Road Betterment Application

Road works on the Urandangi South Road

This project is Council’s first betterment project on a road pavement. This work (betterment) is about putting greater resilience into our road network and minimising the effect of future flood events.

10.87km of new resilient pavement at a value of $2,074,222.34 (with thanks to QRA funding and $980,000 funding from LRCI Phase 4) will be constructed on the Urandangi South Road.

Stage 1 - 6.142km    Stage 2 - 3.302km   Stage 3 - 1.426km

Works will see 10m formation utilising an 8m gravel pavement to our new design heights, built to ensure high resilience to cater for all future flood events.
