Community Members for Arts and Cultural Committee

Introduction: The Council are seeking up to five passionate and dedicated members of the community to become a vital part of the Boulia Arts and Cultural Committee (A&CC). This is a unique opportunity to join the recently established Committee that is expected to influence strategies and initiatives in the arts program.

Committee purpose: To include providing advice and assistance to the Council on delivery of the Regional Arts Development Fund Program – that recognises the value of arts, culture, and heritage for the community.

Commitment to you: The Council values the contributions of committee members and is dedicated to providing support.

Membership and selection: The Committee consists of two Councillors, and up to five community members.

The term of appointment is for a maximum of four (4) years.

To be considered for a position a community member needs to:

  • Provide a current CV highlighting relevant arts or cultural experience and outlining any involvement with relevant arts networks and organisations.
  • Indicate which groups they represent within the community.

Nominations from community members will be assessed by a panel including the RADF Liaison Officer and two other Council employees appointed by the Chief Executive Officer. The panel will submit recommendations for community members and council for endorsement.

Briefing and further guidance: A briefing for interested person will be provided on the 21st of February 2025 at 4:00pm in the Boulia Shire Hall.
